50:  Tobacco Caddy

This is a great conversation piece.  It is an antique Japanese Tobacco Caddy.  It is well used and was probably someone's treasured item.  It is carved from one solid piece of wood with raised gold appliqué on the decorations. Note that there is some wear adding much character to the piece.  The little wood lid is either not original, or has shrunk with age as it does not fit well.  It stands 3 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide.
